• Sizing data: clothing sizes and optional body measurements you provide for your Fit Card
• Listing content: photos, descriptions, and pricing you upload
• Transaction data: rental and purchase records, payment amounts, and payout information processed through Stripe
• Communications: messages exchanged with other users through the Platform
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions with the Platform

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Platform
• To verify your .edu enrollment and school affiliation
• To process rental and purchase transactions through Stripe
• To provide personalized size recommendations via your Fit Card
• To send transactional emails (rental confirmations, payout notifications)
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
• To communicate Platform updates and features

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe:payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.
• Database & authentication provider: securely stores your account data and manages login sessions.
• Hosting & delivery provider: serves the platform and delivers content globally.
• Email provider: sends transactional emails such as rental confirmations and account notifications.
• Other users: your public profile (name, username, photo, school, closet listings) is visible to other verified users. Your email, measurements, and payment details are never shared with other users.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and Row Level Security on our database. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers. However, no system is 100% secure — use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and preferences. We use our own first-party analytics to understand how the platform is used and improve the experience. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except for transaction records required for legal, tax, or dispute resolution purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

MyCampusClosets is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
